Liftow Scarborough’s Toy Drive

Three years ago, Liftow Scarborough began a yearly tradition of having a Christmas Toy Drive with donations going to a different charitable organization each year. For the 2013 Toy Drive donations were given to York Region Children’s Aid Society. This year, thanks to the generosity of all, we have been able to collect 3 skids of toys. These toys will bring smiles to many children’s faces on Christmas morning and it is those smiles that matter the most. Doug Scott, Branch Manager at Liftow Scarborough, would like to thank Kimberly Coughlan and Katie Hall for organizing this year’s Toy Drive as well as all of the Scarborough staff and suppliers for their generous donations. Without their generosity, this could not happen.

Liftow Mississauga’s Food and Toy Drive

This year, Liftow Toronto’s Branch (Head Office) decided to join in on the giving by organizing their 1st Christmas Food and Toy Drive, with donations going to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul located in Malton. Throughout the summer and fall, 50/50 draws were organized and all of the proceeds were used to purchase non-perishable food and toys. In addition to this, two boxes were set up mid-November in which Liftow employees were able to add their own personal contributions including gently used clothing. St.Vincent de Paul volunteers were very appreciative of the donation as they didn’t have enough food for the families that had requested help. Liftow would like to thank Rowena Miller, Yvonne D’Arpino, Cindy Sardella, Melissa Jackson and Janet McCullough for organizing this year’s Food and Toy Drive.
