It is with great pride that we announce that Richard Ghisyawan holds the title of North America’s Toyota Master Technician of 2017 after winning Toyota’s annual skills competition.
Richard, who works from Liftow’s Toronto location was invited to compete in the challenge alongside 15 technicians from other Toyota dealerships from the United States. Richard was the first Canadian to be invited to the competition last year where he took a respectable third place finish. Richard vowed that he would be back this year to take the title and that’s just what he did. Richard is now the first Canadian to hold this prestigious Master Technician Platinum title.
Each year, Toyota Material Handling USA (TMHU) provides a knowledge test known as the Platinum Skills Challenge that is held in Toyota’s Headquarters in Columbus, Indiana. This skill challenge is available only to Toyota Gold Level Forklift Technicians. The Platinum skills challenge is a measurement of a forklift technician’s knowledge on how they utilize; the 6 step Toyota diagnostic method, Toyota Information System (TIS) and the Toyota electronic Diagnostic (TED) to fix faults on several forklift models.
Congratulations Richard, it is a well-deserved title!
