Last week, we kicked off something truly special - our very first Thanksgiving Food Drive at the Moncton branch, alongside a fun-filled employee BBQ! It was a great day filled with team spirit, as we all came together to give back to those in need.

As we prepare to deliver the donations, we’re reminded of the incredible impact we can make when we work together as a team.

We are deeply honored to be recognized as the winner in the Workplace Champion category at the Daily Bread 2024 Best in Class Awards. This recognition is a testament to the collective efforts of the entire Liftow family in supporting the vital work of the Daily Bread Food Bank.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Shaun Schwartz of North American Steel for their incredible support in fundraising, which played a crucial role in this achievement. We remain committed to helping people "carry the load"—not only through our forklifts but also by supporting our #LiftowCares campaign and initiatives that uplift our communities.

This past Sunday, Liftow had the privilege of supporting an inspiring and impactful event—CHEO’s RBC Race for the Kids. With the help of dedicated volunteers, participants, and sponsors, the event was an outstanding success, raising an impressive $830,000 for CHEO’s capital campaign! These funds will go directly towards Mental Health initiatives and the construction of CHEO’s new treatment centre.

As we celebrate this fantastic achievement, we’re already looking forward to more opportunities to support our community. We encourage everyone to stay involved and join us for future events: Together, we can continue making a positive impact!

Windsor Lifeline Outreach (WLO) is a remarkable non-profit organization that supports over 22 groups in the Windsor area by providing food and clothing to those in need. When WLO’s Executive Director, Jeramiah Bettany, reached out to Liftow Essex about their forklift in need of urgent repairs, we knew we had to help. Our team quickly took action, picking up the forklift and fully restoring it —replacing key components like the drive motor, tires, chains, and battery—all at no cost.

The team also gathered and donated two crates filled with food and household supplies to further support WLO’s mission.

We are proud to stand behind such a meaningful cause.

Adults in Motion offers day programs for adults with developmental disabilities, providing a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging, purpose, and community involvement. With locations across Ontario and virtual options, the organization keeps individuals active and connected.

As an honorary member of the Liftow Racing Team, Riley secured funding support that helped replace the organization’s aging van, greatly enhancing their ability to transport and serve participants.

On Thursday, July 25, our Central Division at Liftow, together with North American Steel, held the 2nd Annual Golf Tournament to raise funds for the Daily Bread Food Bank. The event took place at the beautiful Cardinal Golf Club in King, Ontario, and welcomed 120 enthusiastic golfers.

What a fantastic FamilyDay Event we had at our Pointe Claire office!

From the inflatable games that brought out the kid in all of us, to delicious hamburgers, some great music, and let's not forget the magic!

June 8, 2024, our Western Division proudly hosted our annual golf tournament at the beautiful Pine Knot Golf & Country Club! Over the past 15 years, we've seen this event grow from just 20 participants to nearly 100, and together, we've raised over $30,000 for the CMHA Thames Valley Addiction & Mental Health Services .

A huge thank you to Pine Knot Golf & Country Club, our incredible suppliers, and all our wonderful customers who joined us. Your support and participation make all the difference. We're looking forward to many more years of raising awareness and supporting this vital cause!

“My heartfelt thanks to everyone from Liftow who took the time over last weekend to participate in this event (cycling, walking, as route marshalls and at the Liftow booth) to raise money for the Hotel-Dieu hospital in Levis, Quebec. As a team we contributed 627km and our team raised a total of $9209.00. I am very proud of this success and the great team we have in Quebec.

Liftow was thrilled to sponsor the Tournoi Rapido Presto tournament, a fun-filled 3-pitch softball event aimed at raising funds for the Canadian Cancer Society. With Liftow's generous donation of $500 and the enthusiasm from both the community and fellow sponsors, participants rocked the ballpark on May 11 at Parc Pierre-Mondat in Saint-Mathieu, Québec, and made a real difference in the fight against cancer. Last week, Liftow's Central Division, in collaboration with North American Steel, organized a charity golf event at the picturesque Cardinal Golf Club. The purpose of the event was to raise funds for Daily Bread Toronto, a renowned nonprofit organization committed to alleviating hunger and supporting those in need. The event turned out to be a tremendous success, with a total of $18,205 raised through generous donations and raffle tickets.

On Saturday, June 10th Liftow's Western Division hosted its annual charity golf tournament in support of the Thames Valley Canadian Mental Health Association at Pine Knot Golf and Country Club. We had a record number of 64 golfers along with some additional dinner guests for the tournament. A total of $4,430 was raised this year which brought us to contributed amount over $20,000 throughout the years since we have been hosting the tournament. A big THANK YOU to the staff at CMHA Thames Valley, the staff at Pine Knot, and our team at Liftow especially Jason Newell, our London Branch Manager, for making the day a success. As well thanks to our suppliers and customers who donated including Arcelor Mittal, Equipment Assets, Cascade Corp., Becker Brothers, Ross Towing, Crown Battery, East Penn Battery, Stryten Battery, Oldham Battery, Trelleborg, Michelin, Carquest, Liftrite, Coxon’s Sales and Rentals, County Towing and Waste Connection Canada.
